Matt Kennedy-Good
Born 1978. That makes him.... 29. Pretty old to still be floating
round the world searching for adventure, one would think. So his
mother says, anyway. But it was Matt's thirst for adventure, his
passion for writing and expensive camera that made him an obvious
choice for the team (after the first 23 people said no). Taking time
off work was not not an issue, having quit a promising career at
Goldman Sachs in 2007. One could almost see the book deals, newspaper
columns and inevitable canonisation floating around in his head.
That and Kazakstani women riding bareback across Asian steppes.

Marta Wocjikovski
Few people have the balls to drive half way round the world in a bomb,
let alone with Chris and Matt as companions. But Marta is different. Key Skills: Linguistics, pacification of locals, engine maintenance,
team protection etc. |
Chris Wilkie
Chris is the 'would-be' captain of the team........ 'would-be' were it
his decision, that is. But given he would struggle to lead an
expedition to buy bread from a supermarket, this 'would-be' a reckless
appointment. In fairness it was Wilkie's inflated self-confidence
which gave birth to the trip. Rarely is inspiration and incompetence
found in such equal measure, his ability to make the simplest tasks
painstakingly laborious marks Wilkie as a true 'ideas' man. His value
to the team is unquestioned as the most athletic and the most
dispensable. He will be first sent over the top to find help should
the need arise.
